IMPACT OF COVID IN INDIA

STAY HOME STAY SAFE

2 GAJ DOORI MASK HAI JAROORI;

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, which was originated in the city of Wuhan, China, has quickly spread worldwide had given rise to a pandemic situation. India reported its first case of Covid on 30th January 2020 in the state of Kerala. The affected man had a travel history from Wuhan, China. The public health emergency of international concern declares the agent as the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). The COVID pandemic has a weird way of slash the whole world. Cruciality has spread rapidly, virus load and misfortune are still on the rise, and cruciality influence is spreading across the developing countries.  Around the globe, the sensibility, reactions , and consequences were sharp. This pandemic has also affected the healthcare department.

Economic Impact of Covid-19

Evaluating the economic effects of COVID-19 pandemic is important for governments, but it is hard when the situation is exploded very rapidly. In the wake of the ongoing pandemic, the impact is measured to be immense enough to demolish the jobs of thousands of employees in India. It impacted Indian society unsympathetically. Those who are in a job they were not getting their salaries on time. The labourers whose livelihood is dependent upon their daily income their work get stopped and they faced starvation, many of them were died due to starvation. All industries and factories were closed manufacturing of all goods and things were stopped. Many were homeless. Accident cases also increased in India, and due to that many lost their life. Largest GDP rate contraction ever in April 2020 to June 2020 at -24%. Covid impact sharp rise in unemployment. Decrease in government income. Reduced consumer activity.

In life-and-death matters such as the COVID-19 pandemic, a focus on financial matters can seem misplaced. But for the world’s poor, the financial impacts of COVID-19 can be devastating and far more immediate.

Mistakes done by India in COVID-19

Biggest mistakes people make while you can’t go out, you have lots of gatherings at home. Which increased the risk of contracting the virus. Just because everything is comfortable doesn’t mean it’s safe. One of the most common mistakes people tend to make is to believe that they are free to go anywhere, just because lockdown is over. Covid is a disease that is sure to stay home. If your local restaurant or theatres are open, that’s because of the economy and not because it is safe.  You assume and believe that people among you is safe, and they are taking precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. Which may be true, but there is no guarantee in believing so, they sometimes come in contact with an infected person, which becomes extremely dangerous. If someone accidentally comes in contact with an infected person, but after knowing that they have might be symptoms or not after that they are not separating themselves from all others who is safe. Some find it easy to wear a mask with an exhalation valve, but the opening can give an easy way to pass the virus. Fever is one of the most dangerous symptoms of coronavirus, after that many thoughts its usual and they didn’t quarantine themselves. Some people have normal body temperature even they contacted with an infected person. Many people thought COVID is a rumour from government and they didn’t take it seriously and they infected the most. The major mistakes done by the Indian government is that when they listen the virus is spreading rapidly and it is communicating then they had to cancel all the foreign flights and all ways of migration if they did it then we might be safe, or very less amount of case raised in India. Testing mistakes also occurred, some states are testing too few people, some states are not ramping up testing of the virus.

Stay Home, Stay Safe !!

Because we have to fight with difficulties

Caution is the only defense,

Only then India will end

Corona-like-demon effect !!

Welfares done by India to prevent from COVID-19

The schemes in place for essentials like grocery, healthcare and daily use items were provided at your door during lockdown. Some of the services sectors have moved towards work from home, it is difficult to move the manufacturing sector at home. At this point both households and firms need economic support. The developed countries were looking at cash transfers for households and postponing payments. Kerala has come up with a social welfare package for state, involving the public distribution systems, cooked food and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Schemes (MGNREGS). The two main things that any human being would need to survive in these tough times are food and medicines. We have two working schemes PDS and Ayushman Bharat some other schemes are the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) and the MGNREGS.

FOOD: The PDS would need two major twist to serve the current objectives. Firstly, it needs to be made universal or semi-universal. This preface the need for any kind of genuine, biometric, or else. The second one could possibly offer additional food products. these changes need to be decided by the central government.

HEALTH: all citizens which don’t have health insurance should be inspired to sign up for the Ayushman Bharat scheme for the first quarter. the scheme should cover COVID-19 case with tests, medicines, hospital admission etc. this should be inspired by the central government.

Senior citizens should be provided medicines, free medical test for non-Covid-19 patients. The state governments played a larger role here.

INCOME SUPPORT: the NSAP for senior citizens and disabled citizens may be increased. The biggest challenge in providing income support for urban unemployed workers is that there is no working database for reference.

FARMERS AND RURAL WORKERS: Rural labour, whether they are in the agriculture or non-agriculture field, would need support. However, increased work at rural areas via the MGNREGA results in less social distancing, and it increase the spread of COVID-19.

COVID VACCINE: the COVID-19 vaccine was launched on 16th January, 2021 in India. The first group includes health workers and frontline workers. The second group to receive COVID 19 the vaccine will be persons over 50 years of age or persons under 50 years with neurologic conditions. And the rest others will be vaccinated later.

Serum institute of India has initiated phase 2,3 clinical trials to evaluate the safety.

Bharat Biotech has successfully developed COVAXIN India’s first vaccine for COVID-19. Bharat Biotech has successfully partnered with NIV-ICMR having developed JENVAC, a licensed Japanese Encephalitis vaccine.

The COVID 19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents an unequalled challenge to public health, food systems and the work.

We must think the future of our environment and gear climate change and environmental degradation with ambition and exigency. So we should protect our health, livelihood, food security, and nutrition of all people, and make sure that our new life is a better one.
